Privacy Policy

PCOcalc is made by Jack-High Software LLC ("we," "us"). This policy covers both ways PCOcalc can be used — the free/Pro individual tier and the business/team tier — because they collect genuinely different data. Read the section that applies to you.
Individual tier (free and Pro)
No account, no sign-in. The individual tier never asks you to create an account, and nothing you enter is transmitted to us or anyone else.
- Free-tier saved calculations are stored locally on your device only, using standard app-local storage.
- Pro compliance records and property profiles are stored locally on your device only, in a local database. They are never uploaded anywhere on the individual tier.
- REI (re-entry interval) notifications are scheduled entirely on your device.
- Purchases are handled entirely by Apple or Google. We never see or store your payment details.
- Advertising (free tier only): the free tier shows a single banner ad through Google AdMob. Every ad request is explicitly non-personalized, and Google's advertising identifier may be used by AdMob to serve and measure that ad. PCOcalc does not use Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework and does not request tracking permission, because it never requests personalized ads or cross-app tracking.
Business/team tier
Creating or joining a business account uses real backend infrastructure, described here in full:
- Firebase Authentication (Google Sign-In or Sign in with Apple) collects your email address, display name, and a unique user ID.
- Our database stores, per business:
- Compliance records: product name, application rate, the location text you typed, application date, target pest, REI hours, any notes you add, and the technician's user ID
- Shared property profiles your team saves
- The business record itself: name, seat count, subscription status, and a Stripe customer reference
- Technician membership records
- Email invites, which use a one-time token that is never readable by any app client
- The disclosure that matters most: once you join a business account, your compliance records become visible to the business owner and to other members of that same business. Shared property profiles are readable and editable by every member of the business. If you're not comfortable with your team seeing this data, the individual tier keeps everything on your own device instead.
- Compliance records can be deleted only by the business owner — a technician cannot delete their own or anyone else's record once it's synced.
- Stripe processes all team-tier payments. Your card details never reach our systems; we only store a Stripe customer reference.
- Invite emails are sent through Firebase's Trigger Email extension.
Both tiers
- PCOcalc is not directed at children and is not intended for use by anyone under 18.
- We do not collect location data. The "location" field on a compliance record is free text a technician types themselves — it is never derived from device GPS or location services.
- Retention: individual-tier data lives on your device for as long as the app is installed. Business-tier data is retained for as long as the business account is active, plus a reasonable period afterward for legitimate business records purposes, unless you request deletion sooner.
- Deletion: see Support → Delete your account and data for how to request deletion of business-tier data. Individual-tier data is deleted simply by uninstalling the app, since nothing is stored anywhere else.
